Aaaand Relax!

Phew, my fingers don’t know what hit them!  I’ve spent the last couple of months knitting beanie hats for the Oxford Blues ice hockey team, and I finally finished a couple of days ago.  This was my first large knitting order and I’m so pleased with the results.

Some members of the team sporting their new hats…

Keep up to date with the team on their Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/OxfordIceHockey/

I’m now in the process of re-adding some made to order listings to my Etsy shop, so the digital shelves are looking a bit healthier again!

I do still have a few personal projects to catch up with, but I’m planning on spending a day or two behind my little anvil soon – so watch this space!

Summer Colour Pop

I’ve been experimenting with something new over the last few months and I’m happy to say I think I’ve cracked it!YellowKnittedEarrings

If you’re in the UK, you will have had a pretty disappointing summer so far.  We had a few days of heat and sunshine but that now feels like a distant memory – did it actually happen??  Anyway, it looks as if we will have to inject our own fun and brightness into our days and that’s what my new range of knitted cotton jewellery is all about.

KnittedBracelets3The range is made with funky vibrant colours of cotton yarn and silver plated findings to create knitted earrings and bangles.  It’s colourful and light to wear and easy on the purse strings – allowing you to mix and match different colours.  The chunky knitted bangles are particularly suited to this – I think three bangles in contrasting colours creates the perfect laid back summer look!

For the duration of the summer, you can get 10% off my new knitted jewellery (and indeed anything in my Etsy shop) with coupon code SUMMER2015.  Simply use the code at checkout before 31 August 2015.

Here’s hoping for a brighter summer!

Thursday Feature – Design & Belle

It’s been a while since my last Thursday Feature – I just don’t seem to have as much time as I used to for sharing the love!   However I’m determined to get back into more regular posting.   This week I am delighted to introduce you to Belle from Design & Belle, an Etsy shop dedicated to invitation designs.  Belle’s shop has an eclectic mix of beautiful colours and designs – and even if you don’t find what you’re looking for, also offers custom designs!

1. Tell us a bit about yourself and where the inspiration came from to start your Etsy shop. il_fullxfull.630359483_997a

I’m a freelance creative from Winnipeg in Canada! I have always designed invitations for my own personal occasions and wanted to see if people were interested in my designs, which grew from there. I am working on new print designs and will be introducing stationery soon!

2. Do you have a favourite design? Tell us about the thought process involved in creating it and why it is your favourite.

Right now, I’m really favoring my “Home Sweet Kitchen” chalkboard prints. I love the chalkboard trend and was inspired to mix it up with something different.

il_570xN.632031732_qjpt3. What is it that makes your shop unique?

I love to design with textures, colors and patterns you normally wouldn’t see together.

4. What are your goals for the next year?il_570xN.629583969_smzw

My goal is to keep designing what I love! Taking new art classes. Working on having my prints carried by independent brick and mortar shops.

5. And finally let us know where we can find you.
